Renaissance an Artist Bear inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci

I’m very pleased to introduce you to a very special and luxurious bear called Renaissance inspired by a painting called The Mona Lisa (La Giocanda) by the famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci 1503-1516 and also La Scapigliata 1506-1508. I have also used printed fabric taken from a section of one of Leonardo Da Vinci’s hand written notes.
This bear has been created especially by myself for Bears of Bath.

This fur is so luxurious and changes shade with every glance or change of light. This is the long olive and golden brown faux fur 60mm and also lovely brown shorter faux fur, she has been a joy to model.

This bear has to be one of the most beautiful and soft that I have worked with and I enjoyed every moment modelling her
.
This beautiful Bear has been a labour of love spanning several days. I really wanted to sculpt her carefully and really bring to life. Every part of her is created from new patterns designed to bring out something completely new.
Her head has been carefully scissor sculpted and then gently shaded using acrylic paints to accent shadows and give her personality and life.

She has 12mm English Black Glass eyes with brown eyelids. Her nose has been hand embroidered airbrushed in brown, then varnished.

She is fully cotterpin jointed and filled with dense polyester filling for extra weight. When standing She is approx 10-11 inches high. She has printed fabric on her ear and foot pads depicting a painting called The Mona Lisa (La Giocanda) by the famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci 1503-1516 and also his study La Scapigliata 1506-1508. I have also used printed fabric taken from a section of one of Leonardo Da Vinci’s hand written notes used for her inner ears. She has a fabric ‘Bears of Bath 2026’ ribbon sewn into her back.

She will arrive at her new home, carefully wrapped in a strong box, with her certificate of authenticity.
