One hot summer day, Mistletoe and Wine were down on the beach, shell collecting, when they heard music and laughter coming from behind some very large rocks.
The two bears scrambled up the side of one of the rocks, until they got to the top, then peered down below. Both bears rubbed their eyes in disbelief. Stretched out below them was a miniature holiday resort, where creatures of all shapes and sizes were enjoying the sea air.

‘Hello there, welcome to Coral Bay’. Said a friendly crab with a bright red blazer and clipboard. ‘Come on down and join us, the water is lovely and warm today!’

Mistletoe and Wine climbed down to join their new friend.
‘What a great place you have here’ said Wine to his smiling host.
‘Thanks’ replied the crab. ‘We are all very proud of our Bay. We got an award last year, you know! Creatures come from miles around.’ ‘ Look!’ the crab pointed up to the sky. ‘There’s another group of visitors arriving by Gull Air.’
‘What’s Gull Air?’ Mistletoe asked politely, scratching his head.
‘Gull Air is run by the Seagulls’ the crab replied. ‘They fly over to the towns and cities, picking up passengers who want a day out by the sea. It’s proved very popular. This is it’s third season.’
‘We have all sorts of activities to do here.’ Continued the crab. ‘Water-skiing is very popular. The seahorses run a very good school, everyone has a great time.’
With that a beetle on a lollipop stick flew past them being towed by a seahorse with goggles on. The water skiing beetle noticed the three of them on the shore watching him, so he tried to shoe off, lifting all seven of his legs off the ski and promptly fell off with a loud SPLOOSH into the water.

A family of limpets who were on the rock opposite had been watching too and began laughing so hard that the smallest one nearly became unstuck!

‘
Or perhaps if you would like something a little more relaxing’, said the crab quickly trying to change the subject. ‘Then we have lots of sun beds you can use or lilos if you would like to float on the water and then perhaps cool off with a nice cold drink or some lovely cold ice cream from the shop.’
‘Oh, Ice cream…’ whispered Wine, with a far away look in his eyes. ‘I like the sound of ice cream!’ he said as he licked his lips, ‘especially strawberry.’
The crab laughed. ‘I think we can manage that! Follow me.
